​To submit an AUDITION FOR our SHAKESPEARE PERFORMANCES at the the BOTANICAL GARDEN OF LISBON see the following details:

To be considered for the CHILDREN'S SHAKESPEARE production on June 6th, 7th, and 8th or the production of HAMLET on September 12th, 13th, and 14th please submit the following:

​

   - To audition submit a "self-taped" monologue from the Shakespeare play of you choice. It can be from a comedy or a tragedy.

   - No longer than 2 minutes in length. 

   - Take another 1 or 2 minutes more to talk to us by looking into the camera or smartphone, to tell us about your acting experience, especially any previous Shakespeare performances (Please note: Acting EXPERIENCE is NOT REQUIRED in fact we encourage people who have never acted before to submit).

   - NO Attachments or downloads will be accepted. Upload your audition material to YOUTUBE or VIMEO, then share the LINK by filling out the form below. 

   -The deadline for submissions is January 25th, 2025.

Additional important details:

 

   -  The once a month group ZOOM rehearsals begin in early February, the dates are still to be determined. We will also schedule individual rehearsals based on each actors schedule. In May the ZOOM group rehearsal increase to a minimum of 2 sessions per month, as individual actor rehearsals continue with dates to be determined.

  - All actors are REQUIRED to participate in the IN-PERSON rehearsals that begin for each play on the Saturday before the opening of the play. The in-person rehearsals continue all week, for approximately 4 hours each day (some smaller roles are not needed everyday). But everyone is REQUIRED to attend the DRESS REHEARSAL the day before the OPENING of the play.​

   - A stipend will be rewarded to each actor in the plays to cover travel and expenses, at an EQUAL AMOUNT (the larger roles and the smaller roles receive the same amount). The amount is based on donations received and the amount is still to be determined. Our goal is to confirm the stipend amount before rehearsals begin in February.
